Paul is Head of Telecoms within the Infrastructure division at Carter Jonas and has 20 years’ experience in this highly specialised sector.

Acting principally for land and property owners and with significant operator-side estates experience, Paul deals with complex, expert, and litigious matters where a deep understanding of the statutory framework along with operator behaviour and operational practices are key to a successful outcome.

Paul regularly provides strategic and valuation advice to private, public and portfolio clients and supports multi-disciplinary teams where expert advice is required.
Starting in private practice, Paul acted for mobile telecommunications operators during the rollout of 3G, specialising in acquisition of land, rights and leading on several special projects.
From 2005 to 2018, Paul held consecutive roles in regional asset and estates management at Arqiva, the UK's largest telecommunications and broadcast TV infrastructure provider, delivering projects and strategic property advice through a period of unprecedented change in the telecommunications sector, including the digital switchover of TV in the UK, mobile operator network consolidation and the 2017 reform of the Electronic Communications Code.

Paul has presented and speaks at CPD events on telecoms property matters and has authored articles for both industry press and RICS subscription services. He also regularly takes part in industry roundtable discussions and works with government and other key stakeholders to improve communication, engagement, and best practice in the sector including membership of the Compulsory Purchase Association.
