Job Title: President, Mental Health Tribunal

I am the President of the Mental Health Tribunal, and also served for four years as a sessional member of the State Administrative Tribunal. A trusted legal adviser to insurers, brokers, health and aged care facilities, and health practitioners, I practised for 22 years as a solicitor, mediator and commercial insurance partner of national law firms. I was noted annually in Best Lawyers as one of Australia’s leading Health and Aged Care solicitors, and in Doyle’s Guide as a preeminent medical defence lawyer. Experienced in mediation, adjudicative decision-making, and negotiation, I have also appeared as counsel before many tribunals, and as a trial and appellate advocate in superior courts including the High Court.
