Mr McIntosh is a qualified International Commercial Arbitrator with extensive experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution, Adjudication and Mediation.


Mr McIntosh is an accomplished Contracts Expert, a specialist on FIDIC contracts and active on-shore/off-shore oil & gas facilities, power generation projects, industrial plant projects, reclamation and mining projects, major transport infrastructure projects such as international ports, toll-roads, airports, underground and elevated mass rail transit systems, light rail transit and high-speed railway systems.


Mr McIntosh has substantial experienced in Indonesia, China, Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, Kazakhstan and Vietnam and takes assignments also in Europe, the USA and the Middle East region.

The largest transaction handled by Mr McIntosh was a public infrastructure programme budgeted at over US$70 billion, the largest dispute resolved in a tribunal exceeded US$1.3 billion, the largest commercial loss settled prior to proceeding for an owner exceeds US$ 2 billion, and for a contractor exceeds US$ 600million.


Mr McIntosh has been in East Asia since the mid 1980’s and in professional practice for nearly 40 years. He qualified in arbitration via Columbia Law School, Columbia University (USA) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK). He holds a Master of Science Degree from the University of Oxford (St Anne’s College) and is certified with the US Department of Health & Human Services’ National Institutes of Health, (NIH): (Office of Extramural Research).
