Peter, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (FCIPM) and an alumnus of the Lagos Business School (Senior Management Program #30) holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration in 1998, Post-Graduate Diploma in Manpower Economics and Planning in 2000 and a Master’s degree (M.Sc.) Economics in 2005. He also holds a Professional Certificate in Performance Improvement from Ithaca College, USA.

He started his career at Nigerian Bag Manufacturing company Plc (BAGCO) as a junior employee in 1987 and rose through the ranks to become the Human Resources Manager (Divisional Head) in 2008. He was transferred to Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc. (FMN) as Industrial and Employee Relations Manager in 2014 and became HR Business Partner for Golden Sugar Company Ltd and Apapa Bulk Terminal Ltd (both Subsidiaries of FMN) in the same year. He is currently the HR Service Delivery Manager for Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc

He has contributed immensely to the HR profession having served as General Secretary, Personnel Practitioners’ Consultative Association (PPCA), Apapa; Financial Secretary, 2006 - 2007 and Chairman, 2007 to 2009. He served the Lagos branch of CIPM as Chairman from 2009 to 2011 with notable achievements. Peter also served the institute as Member, Institutional Development Committee from 2002 to 2007; Member, Education Committee from 2007 to 2009 and Member, Membership Committee 2014 to 2015. He is currently an Elected Council Member serving in the Governing Council since April 2017.

Peter’s professional contributions are notable in other HR practice areas. He was the Chairman of Industrial Relations Committee of the Nigerian Textile Industry in 2007, where he served on the committee since 2005. He was a member of the National Joint Industrial Negotiating Council (NJIC) for the industry from 2007 to 2014 and member of the Governing Council of the industry from 2011 to 2014. He also served as a Council Member of the Manufacturers’ Association of Nigeria (MAN) Apapa branch from 2009 to 2014 and a Member, Committee of Human Resource Experts of the Nigerian Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA) from 2011 to 2014 and 2018 to date.

Peter is a system improvement champion with a Green Belt in Six Sigma. He is a Gold Member of the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI), Licensed Human Resource Practitioner (HRPL), Certified Mediator by the Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse (LMDC) and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), UK. He has attended several local and international conferences.
