Dr. Cllr. Andrew CHIU is a private practice dispute resolution consultant, elected member cum vice chairman of HKSAR Eastern District Council, Besides, he obtained accredited mediator qualification in 2007, CEDR trained mediator assessor qualification in 2010, SAC/ZAC arbitrator qualification in 2016. Currently he also serves as Chairperson of Hong Kong Society of Accredited Mediators (HKSAM).
Dr. Andrew has over 17 years experience in public affairs and community services in Hong Kong. He was appointed as a member of 'Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education' and 'Appeal Panel (Housing)' by HKSAR Government. He has solid experiences in providing mediation services for resolving community and property management related disputes. He was invited by governments departments, professional institutes and public utilities as guest trainer to share practical dispute resolution skills to handle local politics. He voluntary as one of the co-authors for a mediation public education handbook which supported by the Working Group on Mediation chaired by the Secretary for Justice of Hong Kong SAR Government in 2009.
