Poupak is an English barrister and a partner in the London office of Trinity International. She heads up the disputes practice.

Poupak has 27 years’ experience in the energy, petrochemicals, mining, infrastructure, construction and engineering industries. Her arbitration experience ranges from construction disputes to shareholder disputes to purely commercial disputes arising from project documents including power purchase agreements, supply and offtake agreements, and government support agreements. She has represented clients in arbitrations arising from projects in Africa, the Middle-East, Europe, the Far East, North America, South America and the Caribbean, under all the major institutional rules including the LCIA, ICC, HKIAC and UNCITRAL arbitration rules.

Before joining Trinity International, Poupak was an international arbitration partner in Baker Botts, and prior to that she was a partner in the London office of Norton Rose Fulbright. Uniquely, Poupak has knowledge and expertise in both international arbitration and projects work, derived from her roles as an associate in the construction and the international arbitration departments of White & Case for 10 years, the energy and construction departments of Masons (now Pinsent Masons) for 5 years, and her 4 years as the General Counsel of a petrochemicals company based in the MENA region. She has undertaken transactional work in the petrochemicals, power and infrastructure sectors, in connection with projects in the Caribbean, the Middle East and Africa, over the last 15 years.

Poupak is in a distinctly advantageous position when dealing with disputes arising from projects and their development including shareholder and financing matters.
