Employment:
• Since August 2011 - owner and CEO of law firm „Marine Legal Bureau”, Riga, Latvia.
• 2007 – 2011 - managing partner of maritime law firm based in Riga.
• 1995 – 2007 - manager of Legal Dept. of Messrs Baltic Kontor Ltd (Lloyd’ s agency in Latvia), same time - manager of Legal Dept. of Messrs PANDI BALT Ltd (P&I Clubs correspondent in Latvia).
• 1992 – 1995 - commercial manager, in-house lawyer of private shipping company (12 vessels river-sea type).

Education: university level. Graduated law faculty of Latvian state University in 1980.
Specialization – lawyer.

Experience in the International Maritime Arbitration:
LMAA - since 2021 was appointed as arbitrator in 10 cases. Two Final awards were issued. Now act as co-arbitrator in 6 active references.
LCIA - acted as co-arbitrator together with Mr Hew R. Dundas and Mr Richard Faint (dispute was settled) in on case.
GMAA – in more than 10 cases acted as party counsel.
In one case acted as co-arbitrator together with Mr Kai Holger Drews and Mr Jan Wolper.
Russia: Since 2011 more than 60 times acted as arbitrator in the Maritime Arbitration Commission (MAC) and in the International Commercial Arbitration Court (ICAC) at the ICC of Russia, as sole arbitrator of the Russian Arbitration Center in Moscow.
ICC – as counsel represented client in the ICC Court (Paris, Geneva) (Claimants - from China, Respondents – from Azerbajdjan).
Riga District Arbitration court (RDAC) – deputy of the chairperson. Participated more than 10 times as arbitrator in maritime disputes.
