We have become aware that a third party has emailed some members requesting payment for membership. 

The email is sent from a @vk.com email address. 

If you have received, or do receive, such an email please delete the email and do NOT click on any links within it. If you have received such an email to your work email address, please report it to your IT department so they may take appropriate action.   

Please note that Ciarb staff email addresses end with @ciarb.org and we also send emails from our DotDigital email account. If in doubt, you are welcome to forward the email to us at memberservices@ciarb.org and we will confirm if we have indeed sent the email to you.

We are keen to share helpful steps and precautionary measures to enable you to protect yourselves. For example, please consider changing your password(s) and monitoring your credit card or bank accounts for any unusual transactions.  

Ciarb takes your data very seriously and has carried out checks to ensure that our environment and your member areas are safe.  

We have reported these scam emails to the National Cyber Security Centre and Action Fraud.
