Ciarb thanks outgoing Journal Editor and welcomes incoming Editor

We would like to thank Dr Stavros Brekoulakis for his hard work and commitment to the role, and give a warm welcome to Professor S.I. Strong, the new Editor-in-Chief.

 

Arbitration: The Journal of International Arbitration, Mediation and Dispute Management is Ciarb’s quarterly academic journal. Since 2018, Stavros Brekoulakis has been Editor-in-Chief of the Journal, heralding in 28 issues.

 

Stavros Brekoulakis commented, “It has been a distinct honour to serve as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal over the last seven years. I am proud that during my editorship, the Journal maintained its distinct identity, expanded its audience and continued to contribute to the practice and scholarship of international arbitration. I am even prouder that the Journal has, all these years, been a platform of truly diverse authorship giving space to both distinguished commentators and new voices from around the world. As I am stepping down as the Journal’s Editor-in Chief, I want to thank my deputy editors and the editorial board and look forward to seeing the Journal’s continuous success under its new editorship.”

 

Professor S.I. Strong commented, "I'm looking forward to building on the great work done by outgoing Editor-in-Chief, Stavros Brekoulakis, and continuing to diversify, strengthen and expand the scholarship presented in Ciarb’s Journal in the coming years."

 

Ciarb publishes its peer-reviewed, academic digital journal quarterly. The Journal contains scholarly research on all forms of dispute resolution; articles focus on different areas of practice across the disciplines of arbitration, mediation, adjudication, dispute boards, expert determination and expert witnesses.

Professor S.I. Strong is K.H. Gyr Professor of Private International Law at Emory University School of Law. She specialises in comparative and private international law, with a particular emphasis on international commercial dispute resolution (litigation, arbitration and mediation), large-scale (class and collective) suits and the use of artificial intelligence in civil justice systems. Prior to joining Emory, Professor Strong taught at the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford and the University of Sydney as well as Georgetown University and the University of Missouri.
