  • Promoting ethical practice, training and ongoing learning.
  • Supporting equality, diversity and inclusion activities with the aim of increasing representation of underrepresented groups in the profession.
  • Supporting thought leadership and research.
  • Co-operating to organise training programmes and events.

Further, HIAC and HNAA undertake to recognise Ciarb Fellowship and Chartered Arbitrator when considering applications for entry onto their arbitrator panels and lists when making appointments.

Ciarb was delighted to welcome the delegation from HIAC and HNAA in September 2024 to its offices in Bloomsbury Square, London. Following a productive meeting, the MoUs were formally signed.

I am impressed by their enthusiasm and commitment to promoting private dispute resolution in Hainan and beyond. In particular, I am delighted that our FCIArb and C.Arb FCIArb postnominals are recognised as signifying high standards of training by both HIAC and HNAA. Collaborating in this way helps us to more effectively promote and advance the use of private dispute resolution.“

Alex Fan, President of HIAC, said, “We are delighted to collaborate with Ciarb, the leading global body for alternative dispute resolution. Working together, we can improve the awareness and use of ADR, and support professionals to develop and maintain high standards of practice.”
