Personal bio
Professor Taki Madima (S.C.) holds Master degrees in Human Rights Law (Essex), Administrative and Constitutional Law (Cape Town), Intellectual Property Law (Johannesburg), a PhD in Employment Law (Essex), as well as an Executive eMBA (Cape Town). He has been in private practice since 2004, taking Silk in 2011. He has been an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Commercial Law at the University of Cape Town, South Africa since 2007.
Professor Madima has been an Arbitrator and mediator since 1998 upon completion of the AFSA / University of Pretoria Arbitration and Mediation Course.
He is on the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa (AFSA) Commercial Law Panel of Arbitrators. He is also a member of the Mauritius International Arbitration Centre (MIAC).
Importantly, he is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), UK.
