Personal bio
Svetlana specializes in international commercial and investor-state arbitration, with a particular emphasis on disputes arising out of bilateral investment treaties. She has experience in the representation of private-sector companies as well as sovereign states and state-owned entities in international arbitrations arising from a wide range of disputes, particularly in construction, agriculture, pharmaceutical, and energy sectors. Svetlana has recently been involved in several high-stakes arbitrations arising from large infrastructure projects in Africa, many of which involve Turkish entities. She also lectures on international arbitration at Yeditepe University Law School in Istanbul.
