Personal bio
A former naval officer in the Royal Canadian Navy, Michael has been with Dentons Canada since 1994. Based in Toronto, he is a senior partner in the firm's litigation and dispute resolution group where he has handled many "bet the company" files, particularly in the natural resources sector. Michael has acted as counsel in many institutional and ad hoc international and domestic commercial arbitrations, including a fully virtual ICC hearing involving US$75million. Michael became an FCIArb in 2021. He is a member of ICC Canada; and ADRIC where he is a director, member of the executive committee and president elect.
