Tushar is a Chartered Construction Project Manager, Real Estate Development Head, an ADR Practitioner (Arbitrator, Mediator and Adjudicator), and an Academic. He is Head of Projects Development at BNW Developments, a real estate developer based in Dubai. He works closely with consultants, architects, designers, contractors, local authorities, and internal departments in managing and delivering projects that meet or exceed the set standards and expectations. Tushar has over 25 years of experience, including over 20 years in the GCC (UAE, Oman, and Qatar). He has worked on a variety of construction and real estate development projects such as mixed-use, airport, air hangar, hospitality, sports club, palace, mosque, leisure and entertainment, industrial, etc. and has performed all roles on the projects, including those of the employer, the consultant (engineer) and the contractor. His career trajectory has progressed horizontally (from working for contractor to consultant, to employer) as well as vertically (from being a site engineer to project manager, to head of projects).
Tushar is also an Adjunct Faculty at Amity University Dubai where he teaches key modules of MBA programme in Construction Project Management. Moreover, he provides training in Project Management, Risk Management, Planning and Scheduling, Cost Management, Project controls, Procurement, Contract Administration, Claims, Dispute Avoidance and Dispute Resolution, and frequently speaks at conferences and events.
Tushar has dual qualifications, a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from India and a Master of Science degree in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution from University of Central Lancashire, UK. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK (FCIArb) and the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution
(FAIADR) and has been empanelled as an Arbitrator by several reputed Arbitration centres such as Dubai International Arbitration Center (DIAC), Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA), Asian International Arbitration Center (AIAC), Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution (AIADR), and Russian Arbitration
Center (Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration). He is a Member of Chartered Institute of Buildings UK (MCIOB – Chartered Construction Manager) and also hold several globally recognized professional credentials from Project Management Institute (PMI) – USA such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Risk Management
Professional (PMI-RMP), Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) and Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
