I have over 36 years' experience of working within the Construction, Infrastructure, Engineering and Property Development industry and provide independent construction and engineering consulting services to a wide range of clients. I have been involved in dispute avoidance and resolution under construction and engineering contracts for over 25 years and qualified as a UK accredited construction adjudicator after successfully completing the CIArb's Pathway to Fellowship programme in London. I have since been accredited and appointed as a construction adjudicator under the relevant Australian Security of Payment Acts in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, Tasmania and Northern Territory. In respect of construction and engineering disputes, I am also: - an accredited expert witness; - a civil commercial mediator; and - an expert determiner. I have gained a LLM in construction law and arbitration and a BEng(Hons) degree in building services engineering. As well as being a FCIArb, I am a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) as a chartered project management surveyor. I have a wide range of experience managing contracts and advising clients on dispute management, avoidance and resolution under various forms of construction and engineering contracts, including JCT, NEC, Australian Standards, FIDIC as well as bespoke and other forms of building contracts.
