Shapola Mutyoka MEIZ, FCIArb is a professional Engineer, construction contracts expert, Adjudicator and Arbitrator.
He has over 16 years post graduate experience in structural and civil engineering design and administration for both public and private sector clients. His key skills include structural analysis and design using FEM and detailing of both concrete and steel structures, administration of construction contract works, site supervision including quality assurance, quality control and site safety supervision, Coordination with the client, consultant team and contractor for the completion of the works as well as project progress reporting.
His experience include the management of civil engineering projects using FIDIC contracts such as Red, Yellow, Silver, Gold, White Book, EPC-Contracts. Shapola is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and member of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF).
Other skills include identification, managing and reporting project risks, dispute avoidance, determination of Contractor’s claims and Dispute Resolution through Adjudication, Dispute Boards and Arbitration. Preparation of specifications, tender and contract documents using World Bank Standard Procurement Documents.
