Personal bio
I am a lawyer based in Florence. I graduated cum laude from the University of Siena in 1994 with a thesis on the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards and obtained an LL.M. in International Business Law from the University College of London in 1999. I specialise in international contracts and international disputes. I have served as counsel, co-arbitrator and sole arbitrator in international arbitral procedures, both ad hoc and before the most prominent arbitral institutions. I have acted as chair of dispute board. I was Chairman of the European Branch of the CIArb from 2021 to 2024 and am on the CIArb Approved Faculty List. I am a board member of AIA (Associazione Italiana Arbitrato), a member of CEA, DRBF, ArbIt (former co-chair), SLC, a Fellow of CIArb and Regional Secretary for Italy of the British Chamber of Commerce. I regularly speak at conferences on international disputes and occasionally lecture for universities and arbitral institutions. Further information can be found at www.jacopomonacinaldini.it.
