Personal bio

As an Assistant Professor of Law, I teach civil law and publish on public international law topics. I was a research fellow at the Centre for Commercial Law in Asia at Singapore Management University. I hold a Ph.D. in international trade law from the University of Leeds, and a certificate in international law from the University of Geneva. I'm also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

My research interests include the principle of due process in foreign investment law; and State and corporate responsibility in international law. I have published multiple papers and book chapters (by invitation) with reputable publishers such as Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, Brill, and Routledge. In terms of volunteering, I worked as a peer review editor, and I have been coaching and arbitrating in international moot competitions (Arabic and English) since 2021. I am passionate about advancing the knowledge and practice of international law and arbitration, and I welcome any opportunities to collaborate or network with fellow academics and practitioners.
