Personal bio
Angelina is a highly experienced triple-qualified arbitrator and counsel with over fifteen years of experience in international arbitration. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and is admitted to practice law in New York, England and Wales, and Switzerland. Angelina has acted as arbitrator, counsel, and tribunal secretary in over fifty international arbitration proceedings, both ad hoc and institutional (ICC, LCIA, Swiss Arbitration Centre, ICSID, DIS, CAS and UNCITRAL), governed by various procedural and substantive laws. She has extensive practice employing ADR techniques such as mediation and conciliation.
Angelina has a unique educational and professional training background in both civil and common law jurisdictions, providing her with a profound understanding and appreciation of both legal systems. Her expertise extends to complex cross-border multi-jurisdictional proceedings concerning various commercial and investment matters. These include disputes arising under large-scale engineering projects, manufacturing, delivery and sales agreements, shareholder agreements, and license and distribution contracts.
Before joining von Segesser Law Offices, she gained extensive experience as a Senior Associate at the leading Swiss law firm Schellenberg Wittmer, where she was a member of the firm’s dispute resolution practice group in Geneva and Zurich. Angelina regularly speaks and publishes on international dispute resolution and is a lecturer in International Arbitration at the University of Zurich and the Université Catholique de Lille.
