Chris Polson, MBA, CPA, CMA, CFA, CBV, CFF, FCIArb is a partner in the Toronto office of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and leads the Canadian Disputes practice. Mr. Polson has 25 years of experience in business valuation, financial advisory, complex accounting and dispute resolution (as both arbitrator and expert).
His engagements have been pursuant to a wide range of litigation and dispute matters, including oppression and other shareholder disputes, contract-related disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, securities violations and disputes, post-acquisition purchase price disputes, IP disputes, product liability, insurance claims and negligent and fraudulent misrepresentation.
His past assignments have encompassed a wide range of industries including financial services, technology, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, transportation, natural resources, real estate, construction, retail and sports franchises.
In addition to his practice at PwC, Mr. Polson is the current Chair of CBV Institute (the pre-eminent global valuation credential and professional body which oversees the practice of valuation in Canada), the past Chair of the Canadian CFA Society, and an advisor to the Canadian securities commissions and accounting regulators on issues relating to financial accounting and valuation.
