Izak Rosenfeld is Assistant General Counsel at MITRE, where he provides strategic guidance on innovative technology transactions, and advises on contracts, data privacy, licensing, sanctions, and compliance. He is a licensed Attorney in New York, Washington DC, and the US Supreme Court (USA), a Barrister & Solicitor in Ontario (Canada), and a Lawyer in Victoria (Australia). He is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional - EU (CIPP/E).
Prior to MITRE, Izak served as global compliance and contracts counsel for an international NGO, having previously practiced commercial litigation and corporate law at a firm in Toronto, Canada. He obtained his Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Melbourne, having also studied law at McGill University.
Izak is an active member of the legal community, and is currently an Associate Judge - Awards and Subgrants for the American Bar Association (ABA), Arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), member of the ABA Pro Bono Taskforce, and Young Mediator with the International Mediation Institute (IMI). In addition, he is a member of the leadership committee for the Association of Corporate Counsel's International Legal Affairs Network, New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) International Law Section Corporate Counsel, Compliance, and Data Privacy Committees, NYSBA Corporate Counsel Section Pro Bono, Compliance, and Technology Committees, New York City Bar's In-House Counsel and Technology, Cyber, and Privacy Committees, the ABA Young Lawyers Division’s International Law, Corporate Counsel, and Dispute Resolution Committees, and the ABA International Law Section’s International Corporate Counsel and Privacy and Cybersecurity Committees.
Izak has been awarded the level of Associate (A.CIArb) with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), Member (M.AiADR) with the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution (AiADR), Member (M.CMI) with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), Professional (P.RI) with the Resolution Institute (RI), and Young Mediator with the International Mediation Institute (IMI).
