Peter Pettibone is an independent arbitrator and mediator with over 40 years of international law firm experience across a wide range of corporate and commercial matters. His practice as an international arbitrator and mediator has involved resolving disputes between companies, including state-owned companies, in Russia, Ukraine and other parts of the former Soviet Union with companies in Europe, the United States and Asia. He practiced law as a corporate attorney from 1967 to 2010 and was the managing partner of the Moscow offices of three international law firms from 1991 to 2010, including Hogan & Hartson (now Hogan Lovells). He has arbitrated cases in New York, Stockholm, Moscow and Kyiv, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, an accredited mediator by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) and a Special Master at the Appellate Division, New York State Supreme Court, First Department. He is a graduate of Princeton University (AB, 1961), Harvard Law School (JD, 1964) and NYU Law School (LL.M, 1971). He is a Russian speaker and a US national.
