Personal bio
I qualified as an English Solicitor in 1991 and have practised in the field of international dispute resolution since that date. I became a law firm partner in 1998. I qualified as a higher rights advocate in 2001. I was called to the Bar in 2013 and became a self-employed barrister in 2014. I am a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a member of the LCIA and a CEDR accredited mediator. I am registered as an advocate in the DIFC and currently have a temporary advocates licence in the Isle of Man. My experience extends to all types of contractual disputes across sectors including asset management, automotive, aviation, banking, chemicals, hospitality, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals and technology. I have appeared as counsel in numerous international arbitrations. I have been appointed as sole arbitrator and mediator in a number of disputes.
