Personal bio
Tse Wei was called to the Malaysian and English Bars. He holds a Bachelors and Masters of Law from the London School of Economics, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Asian International Arbitration Centre Young Practitioners Group and Secretary of the Malaysian chapter of the CIArb Young Members Group. His practice covers international dispute resolution with a focus on the energy and construction industries. His experience includes acting and advising on commercial and investment disputes across Asia, Middle East, and North Africa. Tse Wei has advised on arbitrations held under a variety of rules (ICSID, ICC, AIAC, UNCITRAL, and SIAC) seated in various jurisdictions. Additionally, he has working experience with commercial disputes under both common and civil law regimes. Tse Wei also has experience with litigation before Malaysian courts on disputes across a range of industries, including complex contractual and shareholder disputes. He has also acted as sole counsel in arbitration-related applications and contentious insolvency proceedings.
