Retired consumer affairs professional within the travel industry. Company director and consultant. 1980-2009 in industry within vertically integrated travel, aviation, retail and hotel groups. 2009-2021 in trade association and Department for Business (BEIS) Approved Body work, providing consumer and industry financial protection solutions to travel companies, primarily in relation to the Package Travel Regulations 1992 and 2018, originally by virtue of the EU 1990 and 2018 Directives. Member of the Air Travel Insolvency Protection Advisory Committee (ATIPAC) advising the CAA and Secretary of State (DfT) on consumer financial protection until 2021. Charity Trustee of three charities - industry benevolent fund; sustainability charity and charity providing holiday breaks to children and families in the UK who are most in need. Retired 2022.
