Mikhail’s practice focuses on international arbitration and litigation. Mikhail also advises on financial sanctions.

Mikhail has experience of arbitrations conducted under the major arbitral institutions and rules, including LCIA, ICC, SCC and UNCITRAL. Additionally, Mikhail has extensive commodities arbitration experience.

His sector experience includes manufacturing, metals and mining, oil and gas, retail, FinTech, media and financial services. He has particular expertise in disputes arising out of financial sanctions. He is also experienced in post-M&A disputes and complex shareholder conflicts. He regularly acts in claims concerning assets in the emerging markets and the CIS.

Mikhail read Law at the University of Bristol. He also holds a Diploma in International Arbitration from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is a Fellow of the Institute. Mikhail is a Solicitor Advocate.

He is fluent in English and Russian and moderate in Greek.
