Personal bio
Susan Franck is a Professor at American University and Co-Chair of the Washington, DC Chapter of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Before joining the academy, she practiced in Washington, DC (Wilmer Hale) and London (Allen & Overy), served as counsel in ICC, LCIA, ICSID, and UNCITRAL arbitrations and acted as tribunal secretary in Lauder v. Czech Republic. She has written over forty articles and the book Arbitration Costs: Myths and Realities of Investment Treaty Arbitration. She currently serves as an arbitrator and mediator in commercial disputes.
