Passed SCMA Maritime Arbitrator Accreditation Programme 2023, organised in collaboration with the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators ("SIArb").
25 years' total experience, including nearly 10 years as an arbitration and litigation solicitor in private practice law firms in the City of London.
Until 2022, Divisional Director (Claims) at a market leading insurer of marine liability and legal expenses. Customers included one of the world's top two container shipping and logistics companies. Frequently pursued or defended claims in arbitration as in-house lawyer on customers’ behalf. Otherwise, instructed outside lawyers in England and many other jurisdictions and continued to manage the disputes as a client.
2015-22 member of BIMCO Documentary Committee, which publishes most of the world's standard form maritime contracts and clauses. Sat on Drafting Sub-Committee responsible for BIMCO’s suite of four Liquefied Natural Gas ("LNG") Fuel Clauses for Time Charterparties.
2015-2022 member of UK Chamber of Shipping Documentary Sub-Committee.
2016-2022 member of International Group of P&I Clubs Production Operations and Specialist Craft Committee and LNG Indemnities Working Group.
