Mr. Subir Kumar, Founder, SDS Advocates is also a Senior Standing Counsel for Central Government Litigations in India and has experience of 10 years in the field of Civil and Commercial disputes, Arbitration, White Collar Crime, Indirect and direct taxes, Shipping laws, Insolvency laws, Real Estate, Banking & Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Sports laws, Power Sector and Intellectual property laws. He has appeared in relation to various matters for Public Sector Undertakings, including Ministry of Finance and Union of India, before Arbitral Tribunals, Bombay High Court, Supreme Court of India. His deep interest lies in International Commercial Arbitration and has completed course in International Commercial Arbitration from Columbia Law School-CIArb. He has appeared in various arbitration matters before Arbitral Tribunals in India. Mr Kumar completed law from ILS Law College, Pune and recently featured as Distinguished Legal Minds of India in the Coffee Book published by Legal Era for the year 2019-2020. He was invited as Guest Speaker to the legal conclave “Make in India” held on December 1, 2016 in London, where he held forth on “Are arbitrations ethical or just a private unethical fight?”. He was also invited as Guest Speaker to the legal conclave “General Congress” organized in 2017 by Legal Era Magazine. He was awarded Rising Star under 40 (2017) by Legal Era, and his Firm SDS Advocates was the winner of Boutique law firm of year 2019-2020 by Legal Era.
