Peter is a partner at Stephenson Harwood LLP and has been a practising solicitor in London for over 25 years. He specialises in international arbitration, litigation and drafting commercial contracts where his work covers international trade, commodities, shipping and natural resources. Peter's practice can vary from a "simple" business, sale of goods or contractual dispute to a complex multi-jurisdictional dispute. Peter's most recent work over the past few years has involved advising a large trading group on the fall-out from the widespread large metal warehousing fraud in Qingdao in China. Otherwise his practice covers disputes between businesses involved in power plant and infrastructure, coal, biomass, oil, gas, LNG, LPG, steel, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, gold, soft and bulk commodities, minerals, trade finance and shipping. Peter has undertaken arbitrations in England and overseas under ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL, GAFTA, CIETAC, LME and LMAA Rules. He has also given expert evidence law in overseas arbitrations. Throughout his time in practice Peter has worked with international businesses from Europe, Asia, Russia, and the US.
