Personal bio

I have a transnational legal practice focused on advising and representing technology businesses. In this work, I draw on my experience as a data scientist and software developer.

I have a particular interest in artificial intelligence (AI) law. I have advised clients on a range of issues relating to the development and deployment of AI technologies. I also taught AI Law at Penn State Dickinson Law School as a Visiting Assistant Professor and have lectured on the subject in the USA and India.

As a litigator, I have represented people in civil, criminal, and administrative proceedings at every level, from trials in county courts to appeals in the Supreme Court of the United States. In addition to representing clients in countless negotiations, I have served as lead counsel in a complex, multi-session mediation in a case against a government agency and as additional counsel in other mediations. As a neutral, I have arbitrated several small-value disputes. I also established, on behalf of a client that operates an online marketplace, an arbitral institution to resolve disputes between their users. This included writing the arbitration rules and assisting the institution in administering arbitrations.

As far as my formal qualifications, I am an Attorney in the United States (Pennsylvania and Washington, DC) and a Solicitor Advocate in England & Wales (currently non-practicing). I received my Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Yale Law School, a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Political Science from Penn State, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Philosophy of Justice, Law, and Values from Penn State.
