Advocate Aderickson H. Njunwa (LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M, PGDL-University of DSM), (Ph.D.-Cand.)- is a Senior Arbitrator at the Tanzania Insurance Ombudsman Service, Vice President of the Tanzania Institute of Arbitrators(TIArb.) and a former Judge’s Legal Assistant of the High Court-Commercial Division. He is an accredited Mediator & Arbitrator by the Ministry of Constitutional and Legal Affairs as well as a registered Arbitrator of the Tanzania Institute of Arbitrators (TIArb.) . He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators-UK. He is a Legal Consultant – Commercial Mediation, Arbitration & Litigation, Insurance Law and Practice, Corporate and Commercial Law, and a Management Analyst. His specialty and practice interest is Commercial and financial service dispute resolution and Dispute Resolution System designs as well as a Trainer in ADR Practice. Currently he is serving as external consultant for various law firms and Corporations in dispute resolutions particularly Commercial arbitrations, insurance Claims and litigations as well as other complex commercial and Corporate issues. He is an Author in legal profession and practice. He is also a Practical Training Assistant- University of Dares Salaam School of Law; Part-time Instructor-The Law School of Tanzania, Legal Practice Trainer-the Tanganyika Law Society, ADR Trainer of the Tanzania International Arbitration Center (TIAC) and the Tanzania Institute of Arbitrators (TIArb.). He also serves as a Member in Professional and Regulatory bodies’ Special Committees and Councils including the Governing Council of the Tanzania Institute of Arbitrators, the Legal Enforcement Committee of the Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA) and the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Tanganyika Law Society (TLS). He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Laws researching on the law and practice of financial service dispute resolution focusing on the insurance Ombudsman Service aspect in Tanzania.
