This involves organisations and structures, contracts, intellectual property, licensing, and technology. More recently Stephen has begun to undertake work in the environmental sector. In addition to CIArb qualifications in arbitration and mediation he is a member of CAS, a WIPO arbitrator and technical expert in sport at the Singapore Dispute Resolution Centre. Stephen has combined a career in business and the law. In business he has served as general counsel, board member and chairman of private and public companies. In law he is a solicitor, arbitrator, and mediator. He was founder and senior partner of the international law firm Townleys, which was recognised as a trailblazer in the evolution of the sports industry. Stephen is known for always trying at every stage to deescalate and resolve disputes. In both business and law Stephen has enjoyed a powerful reputation with colleagues and clients alike for leadership, innovation and delivery, and his skills as a negotiator have been commented upon in the national press.
