Hok Yan is a practising barrister in Hong Kong. He was called to the Bar in 2018 and is currently developing a broad practice in both civil and criminal matters and accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers' work. Hok Yan has appeared as an advocate (either in his own right or as a led junior) in all levels of courts and tribunals. On the civil side, Hok Yan has experience in areas such as contract, company, commercial, insolvency, bankruptcy, land, trust, construction, family, probate, employment, money lending, defamation, personal injuries and injunction applications. Hok Yan also has experience in arbitration and mediation, and render legal advices to private clients in various matters, inter alia, intended judicial reviews and compliance matters in IPO applications. On the criminal side, Hok Yan undertakes a wide range of general and white-collar criminal cases, involving commercial frauds, blackmailing, money laundering, theft, drugs, traffic offences and immigration offences etc. Hok Yan is capable of proving written submissions and conducting hearings in English and Chinese.
