Personal bio

I am a construction professional with over 25 years of industry experience, specialising in independent advice on complex delay and disruption matters. My career spans diverse sectors including retail, residential, commercial, education, marine and port infrastructure, roads, power generation, hydropower schemes, rolling stock, pipelines, airports, nuclear, and oil and gas.

As a delay expert, I have been appointed on numerous occasions, serving as a named expert and expert assistant in disputes. My experience includes testifying in domestic and international arbitrations, giving concurrent evidence (hot-tubbing), and advising on contentious matters in litigation, arbitration, and adjudication.

Before focusing on delay analysis, I spent over a decade in planning roles with major UK and international contractors, gaining a solid understanding of the construction process. This foundation enables me to approach disputes with practical insight and technical rigour. I have also led delay analysis for multi-billion-pound projects, demonstrating my capability to navigate high-stakes, complex cases.

I am proficient in PowerProject, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and various graphical tools, ensuring robust and reliable analysis. My qualifications include a Master’s in Construction Law and a degree in Construction Management. I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Society of Construction Law and have completed expert witness training with Bond Solon.

• Appointed as a delay expert for domestic and international disputes;
• Testimony experience, including hot-tubbing;
