Personal bio
Mark L. Shope is an Associate Professor of Law at the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University School of Law in Hsinchu, Taiwan. Mark was a practicing attorney for more than seven years before embarking on a career in academia. Mark has a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law (USA) and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the National Taiwan University College of Law (Taiwan). In this prior role as attorney, Mark advised businesses on various corporate, litigation, transactional, and regulatory matters with an international focus. In academia, Mark focuses his research on various technology law issues and teaches courses relating to international business, export controls, CISG and arbitration, and negotiations. He also coaches NYCU Law’s VIS Moot Court team (a co-curricular activity complementing courses with similar content). Languages: English, Mandarin
