Personal bio

I have been involved in international dispute resolution for 30 years with over 10 years spent working in London and the rest of my career in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore and currently, Dubai. I therefore have genuine multi-jurisdictional and multi-cultural experience. My background covers a broad range of commercial and international trade & commodities disputes (including S&P agreements, trade finance, insurance and shipping) as well as energy, construction & infrastructure and anti-bribery & corruption matters. I have worked in international arbitration from the outset of my career and was an early adopter of and advocate for commercial mediation.
