Independent Arbitrator - International Commercial Arbitration - Construction Disputes. Civil Engineer, MBA - Project Management, Masters in International Commercial Law (LLM), Dip. Arb. (CIArb) and FCIArb. Over 30 years of experience in projects, claims and construction arbitration. A former partner and head of arbitration department in a law firm in Qatar dealing with and leading multi-million USD international arbitration cases. Specialized in complex construction arbitration disputes for (Infrastructure, Construction, Oil and Gas and Utilities Projects - Water and Electricity). Practical understanding of the construction contracts structure, the parties’ liabilities and the applicable DRM. Practical and strong knowledge of the statutory projects requirements in the ME, the pre-requisites and the related direct and indirect implications on the project execution and the parties performance in accordance with the contract terms and at law. Expert in FIDIC, the particular conditions and other international and local contracts in the ME. Expert in dealing with regulated procedures under various arbitration rules and Ad-Hoc arbitrations. Experienced (from engineering and legal prospects) in analysing experts reports (structural, delay and quantum) and the determination of causation(s) and consequent liabilities. Skilled in the application of the related articles at law for both (Common and Civil jurisdictions).
