Edwin N. Álvarez Román is an attorney admitted to practice in Mexico. He focuses on cross-border litigation and international arbitration, both investment treaty arbitration and international commercial arbitration. He specializes in international contracts and sales, business transactions, mergers and acquisitions and venture capital/private equity. He is a skilled attorney before Mexican courts and he is well-versed in U.S. Business and Contract Law to represent and orient clients doing business in the United States or in Mexico. He speaks Spanish and English. He is member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, North America Branch (ACIArb), the American Society of International Law (ASIL), the International Bar Association (IBA), the American Bar Association (ABA), the American Legal Institute (ALI), and Council Member of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). Edwin N. Álvarez Román has a Master of Laws degree at American University Washington College of Law, Washington, D.C. in International Arbitration and Business Law. Likewise, he received his Master of Laws degree in Human Rights and Constitutional Rights at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de Mexico, and his Law Degree at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico, both in Mexico City.
