Matthew is the Managing Director of Domec Professional Services. His role predominantly focuses on delivering core market offerings in all aspects of property and construction-related conflict avoidance and dispute resolution.
Matthew sits as a panel Adjudicator for each of the leading Construction Adjudication Presidential Panels. He has sat on disputes of all levels of technical and financial complexity and value. A Chartered Building Surveyor (FRICS), Matthew's expertise is often sought in relation to complicated building defects, infrastructure and property disputes in addition to traditional payment disputes.
He is also a highly experienced and registered facilitative and evaluative mediator. He is registered with the leading related panels including the CMC, CEDR, RICS, CIC & Mediate Legal.
Matthew is a Gray's Inn double scholar having been awarded both The Richard Cox Scholarship and The Edmund James Lawson Scholar (The Honourable Society of Gray's Inn). He has previously been awarded the RICS International Surveyor of the Year award (overall title) and dispute resolution category award.
He is a Patron for LandAId - The property industry charity that seeks to alleviate youth homelessness. Matthew created the LandAid pro-bono initiative which has raised over £2.1 million for homelessness charities since its inception.
Matthew is lecturer of law (leader for post-graduate law) at the University College of Estate Management.
He is also a published legal academic undertaking doctoral research relating to dispute resolution and litigation in the construction industry with Liverpool John Moores University.
