Personal bio
Eugene has been a commercial disputes lawyer for over 20 years, first as a litigation solicitor with international law firm Baker & McKenzie and now as a barrister/counsel based in Hong Kong.
Eugene graduated university with a Bachelors of Commerce (majoring in Accounting and Finance) and a Bachelor of Laws (with First Class Honours). He qualified as a solicitor in New South Wales (Australia) in 2001, Hong Kong in 2002, and then England & Wales in 2003 before becoming a barrister in Hong Kong in 2008 to focus on advocacy in court and arbitration hearings.
Eugene is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb). Apart from counsel work, Eugene accepts appointments as an independent arbitrator. Eugene is on the Panel of Arbitrators for the Beijing Arbitration Commission/Beijing International Arbitration Center (BAC/BIAC) and the Chinese Arbitration Association, Taipei (CAA).
