Personal bio
I am a College of Law LPC graduate with a first degree in Business and Information Management followed by a Masters in Globalisation and Development. I worked at Shelter Legal Services for 5 years, but the demise of Legal Aid prompted me to serve the public differently, by working as an Ombudsman. Since June 2017, I have been mediating on furniture, removals and home improvement disputes between consumers and approximately 200 member companies. I seek to provide practical resolutions to these dispute. Although these disputes all centre around the Consumer Rights Act, I enjoy learning about the different nuances and rules within each industry, and the different types of retailer or trader that I interact with daily, as well as the different consumers. I am looking forward to being part of the new Rail Ombudsman contract too. I have attended training on Consumer Law, Complaints Management and Data Protection as part of my professional development and would be interested in becoming a Young Member
