I have over 14 years of quantity surveyor experience. I worked with developer, consultancy and main contractor to gain solid experience in different roles. This helps me to fully consider different aspects for handling pre & post contract issue. Up to now, I involved in different kind of projects like residential tower, house, office building, shopping arcade, hotel and public work etc. One of my job duties is dispute settlement between the contracting parties not matter working in developer, consultancy and main contractor. For example, during working in the Sanfield Management Ltd. which is a local well known main contractor company, I was a project quantity surveyor in charge of a hotel project. Since the Architect revised the layout of the building, the project was delayed about half a year. Thus, many sub-contractors submitted the claim for the extension of time & direct loss & expense because the delay is affected their critical path of the works. So, I had to handle many sub-contractor claims. I worked as a facilitator to assist my project team to negotiate with the sub-contractors. By using the ADR I leant in my postgraduate studies in The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, most of the dispute can be settled by achieving mutual goal of both parties. Beside the settlement of dispute, I have a variety of experience of pre & post contract including cost estimate, budget control, tender analysis & recommendation, valuation of interim payment, VO assessment & final account settlement.
