Personal bio
Dr. Moses Batanda Mubiru is a valuation surveyor and land management consultant with over 18 years of experience in handling public and government parastatals and private sector consultancy projects. The key valuation projects and clientele he has handled include secured lending valuations (banks), statutory (local governments), compulsory land acquisitions (government and MDAs), and asset valuations. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Surveyors of Uganda, African Real Estate Society, and a Registered Surveyor of Uganda by the Surveyors Registration Board. Additionally, Dr. Moses Batanda is a professional Arbitrator and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb).
He has appeared as an expert witness in both courts of law and arbitration tribunals. Additionally, he has superintended several ADR processes to successful conclusions, especially in the land and real estate sector. He has authored/co-authored nine (09) paper publications in international peer-reviewed journals and three (03) international conference papers. Additionally, he has served as a peer-reviewer for five (05) international journals.
He holds his first degree in Land Management and Valuation from the University of Dar es Salaam, an MBA in Investment Management (Bugema University-Uganda), MSc. Real estate (University College of Estate Management-UK), and a PhD (Housing and Human Settlement Studies) at Ardhi University, Dar es Salaam-Tanzania.
He's enlisted on the arbitrators panel by the Centre for Arbitration & Dispute Resolution (CADER-Uganda)
