Managing partner of a dispute avoidance and resolution consultancy. As a seasoned commercial arbitrator, mediator and commercial lawyer, I bring a wealth of experience in navigating complex dispute resolution mechanisms. Since 2017, I have served as an arbitrator in institutional arbitration, alongside handling ad hoc cases under UNITRAL rules and issuing awards proficiently in both Arabic and English. I also served as a mediator in commercial and construction cases.
Extensive membership in esteemed institutions, such as the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and inclusion on the arbitrators' panels of LCIA, DIAC, SCCA, CRCICA, LAMC, Oman Arbitration Centre and ICADRP arbitrator panels as well as she registered arbitrator at the Bahraini Ministry of Justice. Additionally, my participation as an arbitrator in Vis Moot competitions, conducted in Arabic and English, as well as SCCA moot, which underscores my commitment to excellence in arbitration practice.
Experienced commercial mediator, registered mediator at the Bahraini Ministry of Justice and a member of the advisory committee of the Mediation Hub and member of the Mediation Chamber. I was involved in the drafting of Bahraini mediation law and regulations.
My expertise encompasses extensive training programs conducted in arbitration, mediation and negotiation, delivered fluently in both Arabic and English through esteemed institutions like the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute. Additionally, I have been invited to speak on expert panels during prominent events such as Dubai Arbitration Week, Riyadh International Dispute Week, Kuwait arbitration day and London International Disputes Week, further solidifying my reputation as a thought leader in the field.
In my capacity as a former advisor to the Chief Justice and Minister of Justice in Bahrain, I played a pivotal role in drafting legislation, regulations, and refining judicial commercial and civil court procedures. This experience has endowed me with a unique understanding of regional legal systems, honed over my 15-year tenure in the Middle East.
Academically, I hold an LLM from King’s College London and a Ph.D. in international commercial arbitration from LSE, enhancing my proficiency in the intricate nuances of arbitration practice. As a qualified lawyer admitted in both New York and Jordan, I possess comprehensive knowledge of civil and common law systems, enabling me to navigate diverse legal frameworks with ease.
