Abdulla is a Senior Partner focusing his practice on advising public and private organisations on dispute resolution and arbitration, risk management and corporate growth strategies. He is a recognised advisor and business influencer, having supported a diverse range of senior dignitaries and local and international businesses in developing their activities in the UAE and across the region. In the past 10 years, Abdulla has also been appointed by UAE government entity to provide input and draft regulations . Abdulla has a strong involvement in supporting legal professionals development in the UAE. He regularly collaborates with the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department (DLAD), where he has contributed to creating, developing and delivering the continuing professional legal development course (CPD). Abdulla is listed as a regional ‘Leading Professional’ by Legal 500. Work experience: Abdulla has full rights of audience before the Dubai Courts . He leads many of the firm's disputes matters, from the advisory stage and through to the dispute resolution stage if matters become contentious. Sone of his recent and ongoing work include: - Acting for the FTA and a government entity on high-value disputes ; - Successfully represented a high net worth individual before the Dubai courts, on the allegation of company embezzlement; - Currently advising a high-profile UAE national in both criminal and civil proceedings for the alleged crimes of breach of trust and embezzlement before the Abu Dhabi Civil Court, Criminal Court and Public Prosecution; - Recently advised the world’s largest and oldest Sharia’h compliant takaful solutions provider listed on the Dubai Financial Market in a landmark multijurisdictional embezzlement case that involved a criminal case.
