Personal bio
I am a Fellow of the CIArb and in 2017 received their President’s Prize for Outstanding Achievement; this was a global award and I was one of five in the world to receive such an accolade. As well as being a qualified Arbitrator I am also a Chartered Surveyor (Fellow of RICS) and a Member of the Association for Project Management. Since 2005, I have board level commercial experience across a number of businesses within my organisation and I have a strong record in business management for organisations that provide technical consultancy and advisory services, and outsourcing solutions. In these roles, I have been responsible for providing commercial leadership and strong commercial governance, fostering the adoption of best practice in managing commercial risk and in troubleshooting issues, claims and disputes by providing practical hands-on support. Prior to 2005, I had a background in Project and Programme Management on high-profile and complex projects across various market sectors with capex budgets up to £150 million. I have a powerful belief and desire to help people, along with a background in dispute resolution and contract. This has proved successful in providing interventions to both avoid and resolve claims and disputes on behalf of the business and clients.
