Personal bio
Stuart is a Director of Thomson Gray Dispute Ltd and Managing Director of Thomson Gray Ltd. He has previously served as the Chairman of the Junior Branch of RICS in Scotland and was formerly an Associate Partner in the Edinburgh office of Gardiner & Theobald.
He has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry working as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Employer’s Agent and Construction Health and Safety Practitioner (CDM Advisor) on a vast range of projects ranging from small scale alterations, city centre refurbishments, demolition projects, new build offices, schools, hospitals, university projects, hotels, retail units, residential developments and infrastructure works for both public and private sector clients. These projects have ranged in value from £50,000 to £150M.
Stuart regularly provides advice and opinions on construction disputes, professional negligence and Quantum to individual clients and to the legal profession having been regularly engaged by many of the leading legal practices in Scotland. He is an RICS Accredited Expert Witness.
