Personal bio
I am a chartered quantity surveyor, arbitrator, contract administrator, cost manager, and project management professional whose experience spans medium and high rise residential and commercial buildings; infrastructure, sand filling, revetment, drainages, sewerage, roads, bridges, hospital, hotels, and resort construction; and all external works including hard and soft landscaping. I have the capability of exercising my professional skills and knowledge in the management of contractual, commercial, and cost aspects of construction projects independently without supervision. I have used Qatar Construction Standards (QCS), New Rule of Measurement (NRM) 2, FIDIC Red (Construction) books, and JCT forms of contract including their adapted versions a number of times on projects I am involved in today. I am aware of other standard forms of contract which can be used when the need arises. I have proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera 6.2, and other MS office suite computer applications. I hold a Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) Honors degree in Quantity Surveying from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria. I hold a certificate (CertHE Law) from the University of Essex, Colchester, UK and I also hold a Master's Degree in Construction Law with special bias in Arbitration and (Statutory) Adjudication from Robert Gordon University Aberdeen UK. I am a qualified arbitrator (MCIArb, UK) and a professional member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), Certified Cost (Engineering) Professional (CCP) of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) International, USA. I have deployed all the skills and knowledge highlighted above in the actualization of several engineering, building, and infrastructure projects in Africa and Asia notable among which are the Aquatic and Fishery Research Center, Ras Al Makbath, Qatar, and the New Naval Base Project, Messaied Qatar. My ultimate aim is to soar like an eagle in my career.
