Personal bio
Vanessa Malaluan is a Senior Consultant in the Qatar office of Rathmore Consulting LLC, a professional services provider working within the built environment and assisting clients from various sectors on claim preparation and defence, dispute resolution, contract advisory, planning and scheduling, and project risk analysis. She holds a BSc Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Laws Degree in Construction Law and Arbitration. Vanessa is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a Fellow Member of the Philippine Institute of Arbitrators, and an Associate Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. She is both PMP and PMI-RMP certified and the first Filipino who acquired the status of an RICS Registered Expert Witness. With 16 years of experience in various sectors, Vanessa has extensive experience in the preparation of time extension and prolongation claims, disruption claims, and any other costs claims. She has also acted as a witness of fact in an arbitration case in the Middle East. Vanessa is now pursuing a Master’s Degree in Business Administration at Aberdeen Business School (which has been named Business School of the Year 2020 by Times Higher Education) where she is also serving as the Student Representative of their class.
